Description
The project ACuMe – Food Atlas of “Cuneo Metromontana” aims to implement an infrastructure for sharing and production of basic knowledge in the construction of a metromontana food policy (Cuneo and its valleys). For this reason, it is planned to create a Food Atlas of the Cuneo region, as an instrument for knowledge, support and promotion of decisions/actions for environmental sustainability and social justice of the food system, through:
- Collection and systematization of existing knowledge and participatory production of new knowledge related to the resources, actors, policies, projects, material and immaterial flows of the food system of this territorial area;
- Organization of territorial Living Labs for active listening to the territory in relation to the identification of problems and opportunities;
- Elaboration of a Food Metrics Report from the Cuneo region as a starting point for the construction of a territorial food policy in the metropolitan area.
The qualitative and quantitative method of analysis will be developed from work carried out in other territorial contexts (Turin, Chieri-Carmagnola, Grugliasco, Moncalieri, Collegno) within the newly established inter-ateneo Centre for studies and research on sustainable food, the “Food Atlas of Turin Metropolitan” and the PRIN “Placing Food”, and it will be adapted to the specificities of the metromontan territory of Cuneese, with the support of the Italian Network Local Food Policies and in collaboration with processes and projects underway in the Cuneese area, as the project “In cibo civitas”.
